Rapier Loom For Shawls, Scarves, Stoles, Mufflers, Ties With Tucked Selvages:

Loom with nominal weaving widths up to 150 inches (380 cms) aid in the production of Multiple Panels/widths of Jacquard fabrics, thereby distributing the overall cost of Jacquard head. Popular sizes are 280 / 300 / 320 / 340 / 360 / 380 cm looms. Normally 2 or 3 widths are preferred in case of Furnishings / Shawls and up to 6 widths in case of Stoles/Scarves / Mufflers / Ties with tucked Selvedges.

Electronic Weft Insertion up to 12 colors, with the possibilities of 8 different loom speeds based on weft yarn limitations, 8 different pick densities, Cramming and Fringing are standard features which help in creating designs using varied yarns in the weft. Twin Clamping Negative Rapiers are suggested so that the weak Woolen /Linen/silk yarns are run with higher loom speeds. The Twin Clamping Rapiers help in reducing the weft yarn tensions by around 20% leading to lower weft breaks or higher loom speeds. Switchover of the weft yarns/Accumulators, in case a cone/weft yarn package gets exhausted, is a standard feature, leading to non-stop working even in case the weft yarns do not come with a tail end. Any Electronic Jacquard can be used on Panter rapier loom, as per customers choice. the customer has to intimate Panter the model and name of the manufacturer, so that synchronization is made possible between the Jacquard and the Loom.

Weaving denim up to 18 ounces per square yard with speeds of 550 rpm in e58 model negative rapier mode is easily possible, and in higher models with twin clamping rapier mode, speeds up to 650 rpm are possible.

Electronic staubli dobby up to 20 jacks and electronic weft selector up to 8/12 color give ease in designing exclusive fabrics vis-a-vis air jet looms. Insertion of fancy weft yarns, silk, lycra, wool, viscose, polyester do not lead to an increase in power consumption of loom/compressor as no extra energy is needed for differing yarn deniers/counts unlike air jet looms. Also, many yarns are too delicate to work on airjet looms can easily be inserted on our panter rapier looms, making the production of exclusive denim a very profitable option.

Panter Dobby/Jacquard looms with a very low warp shed opening of 44 mm to 51 mm in the first head frame (25 to 30 mm in the reed) help in reducing the stress on the warp yarns to the lowest possible for a rapier loom.

For the weft yarn, one can use either of the weft insertion technologies depending on the deniers to be used

Twin clamping rapiers for a lower weft yarn stress by 20% vis-a-vis normal negative rapiers

Positive rapier for almost nil weft tension. Here the pickup, tranmsfer of the weft yarn takes place without placing any stree & tension on the weft yarn. I.E., the gripper, rapier grips, holds onto the weft yarn with the aid of a special opening and catching mechanism and the weft yarn does not have to push the rapier & gripper jaws against their closing spring tension.

The panter rapier loom is best suited for the weaving of shirting fabrics from dyed yarns, as the very low warp sheet opening of 44 to 52 mm in the first headframe (25 to 30 mm in the reed) helps in lowering the stress on the warp sheet. The 8 & 12 color weft insertion system also helps in changing the articles/sorts for short test runs or for producing quick samples.

Loom speeds of up to 550 rpm in a 190 cm negative rapier model are easily possible, while in the twin clamping rapier mode, a higher speed up to 580 rpm is also possible. For weaving of extremely delicate weft yarns, one can also opt for positive rapier system for wool / linen and maintain top speeds up to 480 rpm in 190 cm mode.

Silk weaving using both Chinese and Indian Silk with tucked Selvedge. Single and double width fabric weaving is possible.
